Elements is equipped with a tool that searches a number of public and subscription-only databases for publications. When the search engine returns a match with your name and other details in your profile, it downloads the bibliographical citation to your profile and sends you an auto-generated email requesting that you confirm or reject the publication that it has pulled into your profile.
Click on the “Claim or reject” link in the “My Actions” panel to view all pending publications.
The link will take you to your pending publications. You can either claim and reject them one at a time or use the checkmark boxes to claim and reject multiple records.
Elements provides the user with the ability to designate the publication type (peer-reviewed, book review, etc.) You can designate the type by clicking on the pencil icon at the bottom of the citation box.
